Anthologist Packaging

Grant and Linzi Carr wanted to build a wine business with people and connection at its core—a conduit for bringing people together in conversation and friendship. For the name, we had to look no further than Grant and Linzi, both lively storytellers. Thus, Anthologist was born.

As designers, we are always looking for a visual gift in our projects, and one presented itself here—a face is hidden within the name Anthologist. The logotype emerged with the storyteller embedded in the act of sharing a tale. Simple and memorable.

A rich colour palette drawing on the landscapes of their new home, Clare Valley, and birthplace, Scotland. Paired with a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic the label was designed to stand out on a shelf, project quality and a quiet confidence, and create immediate impact in market.

Individual wine names doubled down on the storytelling brand narrative adding depth and nuance and written in a tone like you’re chatting to the Carrs themselves.

Anthologist was ready to start creating, collecting and sharing tales with the world.
