A new partner at Parallax

We are extremely pleased to announce Kellie Campbell-Illingworth has been made a partner at Parallax. Kellie was straight out of university back in 2003 when she became Parallax’s first employee. Her contribution to the company has been immeasurable since then. Among many projects, Kellie has worked on the Hardy’s rebrand and been lead designer on Robinson’s, Tilly Devine, Henry’s Drive Vignerons and Scrubby Rise for Wirra Wirra.

Recent press

The collective Parallax interest was piqued more than usual with the arrival of a couple of publications this week. Our studio was profiled in the design edition of “Deluxe Adelaide”. And our work for Henry’s Drive Vignerons was published in “Boxed and Labelled” by German publisher, Gestalten. Kudos also to our friends at Voice, featured in “Deluxe”, and Mash in “Boxed and Labelled”.

DIA Awards success

At the recent Design Institute of Australia Awards, we were honored to receive the President’s Award for our work with McLaren Vale Beer Company. In the words of Co-Presidents Simon Dodd and Brendon Harslett:

“We were taken with this bold, simple and strikingly effective result by the team at Parallax. Boutique Beers have become a new canvas for Graphic Designers who have traditionally focused their talents in the hospitality industry upon wine labels, so a refreshing and stunning result such as this certainly grabbed our attention. Further to the design itself, and as a great success story, McLaren Vale Beer Company first developed the recipe here in South Australia and is currently looking to set up manufacturing on a larger scale close to their origins, and is now the fastest growing beer company in Australia.

So drink up and celebrate an award winner that will help promote local South Australian manufacturing.”
